1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering an account, accessing content, or otherwise using StoriesBox.app, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately discontinue use of the platform.

2. Eligibility

The following eligibility requirements apply:

  • You must be at least 13 years of age to use this platform
  • Users between the ages of 13 and 18 must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian
  • You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep it updated
  • Accounts created with false information are subject to immediate termination

3. Account Security

You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You may not share, sell, or transfer your account to any third party. Simultaneous use of the same account across multiple unauthorised devices is prohibited. You must notify us immediately of any suspected unauthorised use of your account at info@storiesbox.app.

4. Licence and Permitted Use

ZINTARA TECH PROJECTS PRIVATE LIMITED grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and stream content on storiesbox.app solely for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms. This licence does not include the right to:

  • Download, copy, capture, record, or redistribute any content from the platform
  • Use automated scripts, bots, crawlers, or data extraction tools on the platform
  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with any digital rights management or access control mechanisms
  • Use platform content for commercial purposes, public performances, or broadcast without prior written authorisation

5. Intellectual Property

All content available on storiesbox.app — including but not limited to video content, episode scripts, artwork, graphics, music, trademarks, and software — is the exclusive intellectual property of ZINTARA TECH PROJECTS PRIVATE LIMITED or its licensed content partners. All rights are reserved. Unauthorised reproduction, distribution, modification, or public display of any platform content is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.

6. Subscriptions and Billing

Certain features and content on StoriesBox.app may require a paid subscription. The following terms apply:

  • Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, as selected)
  • All charges are non-refundable except as provided in our Refund Policy
  • We reserve the right to modify pricing with a minimum of 30 days' advance notice
  • Failure to pay subscription fees may result in suspension or termination of access

7. User Conduct

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities on the platform:

  • Posting, transmitting, or sharing content that is unlawful, obscene, defamatory, or harmful
  • Impersonating any person, entity, or brand
  • Harassing, threatening, or abusing other users or our staff
  • Attempting to gain unauthorised access to any system, account, or data
  • Interfering with the technical operation of the platform

8. Content Availability

StoriesBox.app does not guarantee the continuous availability of any specific title, series, or feature. Content may be added, modified, or removed from the platform at any time at our discretion, including due to licensing restrictions or content review decisions.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. ZINTARA TECH PROJECTS PRIVATE LIMITED does not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ZINTARA TECH PROJECTS PRIVATE LIMITED, its directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the platform.

11. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after notification of changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. OTT Platform Guidelines

storiesbox.app is an OTT (Over-the-Top) content platform operating in India and is fully compliant with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, issued by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB).

Content Classification

All content published on the platform is rated and classified in accordance with the following age-based categories:

  • U (Universal) — Suitable for all audiences with no objectionable content
  • U/A 7+ — Suitable for children aged 7 and above; parental guidance recommended
  • U/A 13+ — Suitable for ages 13 and above; may include mild thematic content
  • U/A 16+ — Suitable for ages 16 and above; may include mature themes, moderate language, or mild depictions of violence
  • A (Adult) — Restricted to users aged 18 and above; contains adult themes, language, or content

Parental Controls

The platform provides parental control features enabling guardians to restrict access to age-classified content. Parents and guardians are advised to configure these settings on accounts accessible to minors. The platform shall not be held liable for content accessed by minors on accounts where parental controls have not been activated.

Prohibited Content

The platform strictly prohibits the hosting, distribution, or promotion of any content that:

  • Threatens or undermines the sovereignty, unity, integrity, or security of India
  • Promotes enmity between groups on grounds of religion, race, caste, sex, place of birth, or language
  • Incites violence, terrorism, or communal disharmony
  • Depicts or facilitates child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form whatsoever
  • Contains gratuitous or unjustified graphic violence, gore, or torture
  • Constitutes defamation, harassment, stalking, or unlawful invasion of privacy
  • Infringes upon the intellectual property rights of any individual or organisation
  • Violates any provision of the Information Technology Act, 2000, or any other applicable Indian law

Grievance Redressal Mechanism

In accordance with the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, the Company has designated a Grievance Officer to receive and address complaints from users regarding content, privacy, or platform conduct. Users may submit grievances by writing to us at the official contact email with the subject line "Content Grievance". The following timelines apply:

  • Grievances will be acknowledged within 24 hours of receipt
  • Grievances will be resolved within 15 days of acknowledgement
  • Where content is found to be in violation, appropriate action — including removal or restriction — will be taken promptly

Content Takedown Policy

Upon receipt of a valid complaint, court order, or direction from a competent authority, the platform will review the flagged content and, where warranted, remove or restrict access to it within the timelines prescribed under applicable law. The platform maintains a zero-tolerance stance toward content that violates the rights of individuals or the laws of India.

Self-Regulatory Editorial Standards

The platform maintains an internal editorial review framework. All content — whether original, licensed, or user-generated — is evaluated for compliance with our content policy, applicable laws, and community standards prior to publication. The platform reserves the right to decline, remove, or reclassify any content that does not meet these standards.

Compliance with Indian Regulations

The platform operates in full compliance with:

  • Information Technology Act, 2000
  • IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021
  • Cable Television Networks (Regulation) Act, 1995 (to the extent applicable)
  • Consumer Protection Act, 2019
  • Any directives issued by MeitY or MIB from time to time

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Ernakulam, Kerala, India.
